Our Commitment to Stewardship

We as members of Calvary Lutheran church find that, by sharing our gifts, we can make a difference in our church and in the lives of others.

Our Congregation today is growing and very exciting! We receive new members every year and have more than twenty areas of ministry. We reach inwardly to help each other grow in faith through worship and Christian education. We reach outwardly to help others through community projects and ELCA church-wide ministries.

We have an important role as Christian stewards. By looking at God’s creation, our faith, Calvary’s mission, and our own resources, we willingly make commitments in support of our church. These help provide a foundation for Christian stewardship in our daily lives. Calvary members are asked to make these commitments of time, talent, and resources on an annual basis. Throughout the year as new members join, they too are asked to share their gifts.

As members in the Body of Christ, we are all called to use our gifts to further God’s mission.

What are our gifts? We have time, talents and resources all given to us by God. We are asked to be caretakers of God’s creation and managers of our resources. Each year we are asked to respond with our time and talents. Part of the fall stewardship focus is an opportunity for each member to become more involved with the mission of our church.

Time & Talents
We invite you to join our diverse community of members and other volunteers at Calvary who give their time and use their talents each month to help. Whether you chose to participate in weekly programs or can only help less frequently, you are always welcome to lend your talents toward serving the church.

If you would like to take our Time and Talent Survey click here. It also only takes a few minutes but provides our Ministry Teams and the Senior Pastor with the much needed information for matching your interests with the opportunities to serve our Church Mission.

If you would like to take a Spiritual Gifts Inventory click here. It only takes a few minutes but provides insights that will help you and our church better understand how you can use your gifts to serve God.
