Music at Calvary - A Gift from God

Spreading our faith and bringing joy to all who are touched.

Music is God’s creation. In the words of Martin Luther, music "comes from the sphere of miraculous audible things, just like the word of God." In response to the gifts of God, we see God’s love for us and for the world he created and therefore we rejoice and sing.

Choirs and Concerts

At Calvary, music plays an integral part in our celebration of the worship of God. Through liturgy and song, led by our outstanding Minister of Music, Stanley G. Beard, music inspires prayer and praise and enhances the proclamation of the Word. Music and hymns are carefully chosen to support and express the theme and texts for the day. Join with us, as we celebrate our common faith and sing unto the Lord a new song.

Audio Crews

Adult and Youth volunteers, once trained, are scheduled to staff our sound board and lighting system during services and at all other special events.

Costumes and Scenery

Is your talent set building, painting, design or stitching? Maybe you would like to help set up and remove staging before and after productions. There are many ways to join in the fun!

Friends of Music

Even if you don’t have any musical or artistic interests, maybe you would like to help in administrative support.
