Worship Is Our Central Activity at Calvary
Our weekly services:
Sunday morning 8:00 and 10:30 am
Sunday Education Hour 9:30 am
Sunday School and Adult Forum
We are glad you are interested in worship
at Calvary. Our worship services are intended
to help you celebrate and grow in your Christian
faith, commitment to God, and service to
others. While following the traditional
liturgical format enjoyed by Lutherans worldwide,
the style is reverent yet comfortable, reflective
yet joyful, and personal yet interactive.
- Holy Communion is offered at
every service. We welcome all baptized
Christians to the Communion table, irrespective
of their denomination or church membership.
Communion is offered by intinction (dip
wafer/bread into a separate chalice),
or by drinking from an individual glass
or Common Cup. Those with limited mobility
may receive Communion while remaining
seated.
- Children are always welcome,
and are also invited to the Communion
Table to receive a blessing or to commune
as their parents choose.
- A pleasant, staffed Nursery
is available for young children (infants
through age 3) during the Sunday morning
services and Education Hour. The nursery
is located in the classroom building next
to the sanctuary. Please ask a greeter
or other member for assistance and directions.
Fellowship Time
- Coffee, tea and punch plus
donuts and bagels are offered between
the two Sunday morning services on our
outdoor patio. This is a perfect time
to get to know and talk to fellow members
and visitors, and there is ample seating
on the courtyard steps.
- Donations are appreciated,
but not necessary.
Sunday School
- 9:30 to 10:15 am during the
school year (September through June)
- Classes provided for ages 3
through 12th grade
Adult Forum
- 9:30 to 10:15 am during the
school year
- Located in the Fellowship Hall
