Our
Mission last affirmed 2007
Called together by God, empowered by the
Holy Spirit, and living in response to Christ’s Love:
We join together in worship and learning, in a caring ministry
to one another, and in witness and service to our community and
the world.
Vision
Statements 2003 LRSP
Calvary Lutheran Church’s vision is an
affirmation and testimonial of our beliefs as Lutheran Church
Christians and our acceptance of the desire to be faithful to
God’s holy word.
Led by the Holy Spirit, we will use God’s
Word and the Sacraments to assist people to understand and to
become all that God intends them to be.
As disciples of the Lord, we will in
unity and love always reach out in service and witness to our
community and in realization and celebration of its diversity,
invite all individuals to share in our faith and parish life.
We will join other Christians in bringing the Gospel to the
whole world.
Fundamental in our direction will be the
never ending pursuit of excellence in all that we do, especially
in providing the broadest Christian based education possible to
all ages with emphasis on our youth. We also affirm our
realization and deep belief in the value of music in our
celebration.
We commit to, irrespective of size,
ensure that the intimacy and closeness that we share as a family
of believers will guide us even as we embrace all who grace our
worship.
As a close family, united in Christ, we
will always challenge ourselves to be forward looking, insuring
that our resources (staff, facilities, and financial), are
adequate to meet our future needs.
